About Me
My name is Grayson Bennett I'm an emerging filmmaker who specializes in Horror, Drama, and the use of practical effects. Film has always been a safe space both in my life, in general and as an artist. Filmmaking allows me the freedom to express whatever I'm feeling and to invite others to feel that as well. Themes of humanity have aways stuck with me, in my art I love to question what makes someone human vs a monster.
I first fell in love with film as a kid, old school monster movies like Nosferatu, Swamp Thing, Godzilla, King Kong, and others ignited a passion in me due to monsters created through practical effects and their campy style. I remember watching Godzilla Vs Mothra for the first time as a kid and it called to me, I realized as I watched it that this is all I wanted to do with my life, I want to work in storytelling.
It wasn't until years later I realized being a director was even a career option, ever sense I set my sights on being a director and I've never looked back. I love working in every part of the industry and as long as I can work in film and express myself through art, I will be happy!
